Actually, every disc already has its native language pack (English) on it. However, so far all the Xbox One games (physical and digital) I’ve bought in Spain can be played in English, regardless of the sticker or label ‘Totalmente en castellano’.

I don’t even argue with these guys anymore, Spanish video game retailers are very stubborn I noticed 🙂 They insist the game is only in Spanish! In fact, every time I buy a game here in Spain they let me know that the game is entirely in Spanish. The issue is that most physical game discs you can buy in a brick-and-mortar store in Spain or in the Microsoft Store have the label ‘Totalmente en Español’ or ‘Totalmente en Castellano’. I’m Dutch, but even when a game is able to switch to Dutch I still prefer English, as usually things get lost in translation.įor instance, my personal scenario is that I live in Spain, but I do prefer to play my games in English. I prefer to play my games in English – period.

It can be frustrating to come home and see a game you really want to play in a language you either don’t understand or don’t want to play in. The big question when you buy any Xbox One / 360 game abroad: can you play it in English? If you live in an English speaking country this post probably doesn’t pertain to you, but for those live abroad and prefer to play the games in English, changing the game language setting can be a challenge.
